Wolof Flavours was born from a deep love of West African culture and a belief that its cuisine deserved a stage worthy of its richness. The Wolof people, one of the largest ethnic groups spanning Senegal, Gambia, and Mauritania, have a culinary tradition that is bold, generous, and deeply communal.
We brought that tradition to Birmingham, not as a recreation, but as a continuation. Our kitchen honours the original methods: the long marinades, the charcoal flame, the slow-cooked rice. But we present it with the refinement and care it has always deserved.
This is not just food. It is a refined cultural experience, one that people remember and return to. A table at Wolof Flavours is a table at the crossroads of heritage and modernity.
West African cuisine is one of the world's great undiscovered culinary traditions, complex in spice, generous in spirit, and deeply rooted in community.

The soul of West African cooking. Slow-cooked in a rich tomato and spice base until every grain carries flavour. Our version stays true to the original whilst being elevated in presentation.

Named after the traditional method of roadside grilling found across Senegal, Gambia, and beyond. Marinated meats, charcoal-grilled to order, bold flavours, honest cooking.

A dish synonymous with Senegalese hospitality. Grilled meat enveloped in a deeply caramelised onion and citrus sauce, tangy, rich, and utterly memorable.
